For our second ever Ukulele Challenge, Aaron and Kahai change things up for Aldrine by challenging him to take on “Fool” by Cavetown. Unlike our first episode, where Aldrine had to tackle an intimidating video game theme song, “Fool” is a relatively simple and sweet indie pop song, so the guys challenge Aldrine to see how long it takes him to figure out 4 components of the song.
Check out the video to see how Aldrine goes about this challenge. Then use the chords and practice videos below to learn how to play “Fool” for yourself!
Here are all the chords you’ll need to play along with the song:
C: (0003) (0002) (0005) (0003)
Am: (2003) (2002) 2005) (2003)
F: (2013) (2012) (2013) (2012)
G: (2013) (0232)
Chord and Strum Practice (Key of C)
Do your best to play along with the chord and strum video below. Once you can play along with this, you’ll be able to play along with Cavetown in his live version of “Fool”.
Chord and Strum Practice (Key of C#)
If you have a capo, you can place it on the fret 1. Use all of the chords in the first diagram relative to the capo and play along with the practice video below. And now you’ll be able to play along with the album version of “Fool”.
Now, challenge yourself to figure out a song or a riff on your own! Be sure to comment below to let us know what you want to see on future challenges. And of course, keep learning, keep growing, and keep strummin!
